In collaboration with the cultural association “Terra e Fuoco” in Ottiglio, Cascina rosa b&b offers to our guests a new experience focused on the art of the ceramic and pottery.
Terra e Fuoco is located in Ottiglio, few kilometers from Cascina rosa b&b; on request it is possible to visit the lab and the beautiful spaces carved in the typical stone named “tufo” or “pietra da cantone”: the “Infernot” and the old icehouse from late nineteenth century.
The cultural association offers to the Cascina rosa guests ceramic training courses, both for beginners and for people who had precedent experiences in the field.
Courses
Associazione Terra e Fuoco a Ottiglio – Cascina rosa b&b
Beginner course of 3 hours:
- Tour to the Infernot of the Maga Alcina
- Guided tour about the clay’s manufactury cycle (tools – oven)
- Pratice: objects made with the technique of “a lastra and/or columbino”
Intermediate course of 8 hours:
- Tour to the Infernot of the Maga Alcina
- Guided tour about the clay’s manufactury cycle (tools – oven)
- Six hours of pratice: basic techniques, casting, lathe work
You can take objects you will create but they will be raw: it is possible to come back to take them after they completed the cooking and the drying process (without addictional costs).
Prices
Esperienza Cascina rosa b&b – Stage di Ceramica
Courses need two persons at least to start. Prices are intended for two persons (for each addictional person 10 euros must be added to the cost).
Beginner: 50 Euros (2 persons) (3p. 60€/4p. 70€ etc.)
Intermediate: 100 Euros (2 persons) (3p. 110 €/4p. 120€ etc.)
